Fundraising 2009
The Captain
This year Jonathan Harrison is privileged to be the Captain of CDL’s Dragon Boat Racing Team, the Roaring Dragons. They are competing in the Dragon Boat Race Challenge which is a central part of the spectacular Nottingham Riverside Festival, and raising funds for Rainbows: the East Midland’s only hospice for children and young people - a very worthy cause, which is largely supported by charitable donations.
The team have been training hard over the last couple of months to ensure that they have plenty of fire for race day. They have received first-rate coaching from the Nott’s Anaconda Dragon Boat Club on the River Trent, and have been for regular team jogging runs after work in Shipley Country Park.
Cullum Detuners Ltd has kindly agreed to match all funds raised up to £500, and has paid all entry costs in full. So please make a donation to Rainbow’s by link shown on the left.:
Come along, enjoy the festival and give our crew some encouragement. Races start at 11am alongside Victoria Embankment, Nottingham.
