A little bit more about our chosen charities...

This year our two charities which we will be fundraising for both help children in very different ways.

The first is our Cullum charity of the year Derby Kids Camp which provides some of the most deserving children in Derbyshire with a chance to get away from home which they otherwise wouldn’t get. The camp is run 100% by volunteers who help these children have the opportunity of a holiday. They are nominated by Derby City primary and junior schools which choose the children that they feel will get the most benefit from an adventure holiday in the Derbyshire/Staffordshire countryside. This consists of a weeklong camping holiday filled with different fun activities to interest all. Derby Kids Camp also provides shorter specialised adventure holiday weekends for children with more specific specialised needs and young carers. These holidays are a fantastic way for these children to have a small escape from their everyday lives.

Our second Charity is Rainbows Hospice who take care of children with life-limiting or life threatening conditions, this includes specialist respite, palliative and end of life care. It is the East Midlands only hospice for children and young people and provides care and support for both them and their families.

All money that we raise will be split equally between these two charities which provide opportunities and a better quality of life for children in our local area. Please visit our JustGiving site to donate!
